Q1: Is AJ Law LLP the right law firm for me? Why should I trust your firm with my case?

One of the most significant choices you will make is selecting a law firm to represent you in your case. We recognize that your legal matter is important to you and it may make the difference for you to choose the right legal team to render assistance to you.

Q3: Do I need to come into your office in order to retain you or access legal service and see you in person?

No. We can schedule a virtual appointment with you. Though it is better for you to come to our office so that you can get to know the legal team who will work on your case diligently, and you can then and there give documents and sign papers, we can electronically do those things as well to save you time and money.

Q4: What are your business hours?

We are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, by appointment. Please feel free, however, to call or email us after hours. We are committed to returning calls and emails from our clients and potential clients within 24 hours or less.

Q5: How much is your Consultation Fee?

The AJ Law Partners are advocating jointly for your legal rights. As such, we offer a 15-minute FREE CONSULTATION. In excess of the first 15 minutes, we would charge our hourly rate (varies if you want to speak with either our Filipino lawyer or Filipino licensed paralegal). However, should you decide to retain our services, the consultation fee will be waived.

Q6: How much would be my legal costs?

We are dedicated to providing the most cost-efficient legal services for you. We may negotiate retainer agreements based on a fixed rate or hourly fees. We can even schedule installment/deferred payments when needed.

Q7: What am I getting in exchange of the retainer fee?

Your case will receive the competent attention of the AJ Law LLP’s Filipino lawyer, paralegal and its legal team with regards to managing your specific legal matter at all levels of litigation, in return for our retainer fee. Our goal is to provide the most strategic, proficient, and straightforward legal services possible to our clients.

Q8: What could I expect of you?

You have at your disposal a qualified legal team. We would endeavor to successfully advocate you even in your most challenging and complicated case. Our commitment is mainly to work cooperatively and ethically with our clients to obtain beneficial outcomes for them.

Q9: How am I going to stay aware of my case?

We know that you have a busy schedule and want to be updated about your case. We will keep you aware of any major developments so that you are well up to date but not overwhelmed.

Q10: What is expected of me as your client?

We want you to believe that during the tough times you experience when facing a lawsuit, we are here to help you navigate through your entire legal ordeal.

You are expected to be truthful in your dealings with us. You need not worry because we are bound by the privileged communication and confidentiality rules provided by the Law Society of Ontario.

Q12: What about appointments beyond the regular office hours?

All visits to the office aside from our published office hours (M-F, 9am to 5pm) are by appointment only. We encourage our clients to arrange meetings with us during normal business hours. You can request to meet you in the evening for urgent matters

Q13: What information do you need for me to get started?

We normally require you to:

  1. Fill up our Client Identity Verification Form,
  2. Present 2 valid government issued photo IDs,
  3. Sign a Retainer Agreement, and
  4. Pay the initial retainer fee to get started.

Supporting documents, correspondences and pertinent files must be provided to us to enable us to best represent you in your case.

Q14: Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, walk-ins are welcome. If our lawyer, paralegal, and legal team are fully booked the day that you walked-in, we would be pleased to set an appointment with you instead.

Q15: What modes of payment do you accept?

We accept e-transfers, cash, credit and debit card payments (subject to the limitations provided by the Law Society of Ontario rules and regulations).
